Bjork

In 1996 Icelandic pop star Bjork attacked tv presenter Julie Kaufman at Bangkok International Airport. The incident happened in the arrivals area in full glare of the press and tv cameras.

The normally quiet Icelandic elfin like singer went berserk as she made her way through the terminal building with her young son. She attacked Kaufman by pulling her by the hair. She then bundled the startled reporter to the ground and proceeded to bang her head off the floor.

This all happened in front of amazed onlookers and press. Later a 'stressed' Bjork claimed Julie Kaufman had been harassing her son and she snapped. The reporter declined to press charges even though the assault was witnessed by many people and indeed was captured on film.
